#1 The Hand Raiser

The hand raiser allows your follower to self-qualify with the service or offer that you’re pitching.

You can use these to book more calls, qualify leads, give away free guides, etc. The possibilities are endless.

How it works:

  1. You target a specific problem within your niche that you want to solve with a service or product
  2. They see it and say to themselves “Oh, i need that!”
  3. They reply to your Story inquiring about that service

<aside> 💡 Pro tip: You can automate the responses by using keywords + ManyChat

Framework:

  1. Painful problem for target audience
  2. Availability + Desired end result + In Timeframe
  3. What the service entails
  4. What they have to do (their effort)
  5. Call To Action (use a keyword for DMs)

When to use this:

  1. Whenever you want to get more clients
  2. To keep your waitlist fresh for future work
  3. To test an offer

How often to use this:

You want to use this 1x per month. Any more than that and it looks like you’re struggling to get clients.

#2 The Auto DM Freebie

Auto DMs are great when you have a valuable lead magnet or freebie that you want to give away in exchange for an email or a conversation.

How it works:

  1. Start with a Results based achievement for you or one of your clients.
  2. Outline exactly what they get
  3. Use scarcity to drive home the urgency
  4. Close with a specific Call To Action

<aside> 💡 Pro tip: Stating the price you could sell it for (it’s called anchoring) will make the product seem like even more of a steal when you say they can ‘get it for free for the next 24 hours’

Framework used:

  1. Tangible and specific result (use actual numbers)
  2. 2-3 short bullets on what you accomplished →
  3. What you’re giving away for free
  4. How much it could cost
  5. Time limit (use scarcity)
  6. Call to action

When to use this:

Use this to build your list and boost your downloads of your lead magnet.

You can also use this to build authority in your niche by showcasing and talking about your results / social proof

How often to use this:

  1. You can use the same one 2x per month.
  2. I recommend having a few of these guides and cycling through them every other week.

#3 Newsletter Convo starter

Newsletters / Email lists / Podcast (not so much) but these are all great for sparking conversations in your stories. →

This one worked so well for me that it 10X’d my Story views and engagement instantly.

How it works:

  1. This works off a value exchange and FOMO. The article has to be extremely valuable to make the user want to read it AND to want to reply to that story.
  2. Strong visuals will help hook the user in before they swipe.
  3. Using a keyword for your CTA and Automation will give you 3-5x more responses over Link stickers

<aside> 💡 Pro Tip: Meta / Instagram hates link stickers (even though they let you use them). They want to keep people inside Instagram as much as possible. When you use link sticker to external websites, it doesn’t benefit Instagram at all (and probably hurts them tbh).

Avoid using link stickers and replace them with Automated DM keywords instead.

  1. Low effort, high curiosity hook “Would you read this?”
  2. Call to action you want them to take
  3. Visual Hook in the Screenshot

How often to use this:

I use this once per week when I drop a new issue of my newsletter.

Keep in mind:

Pay close attention to the value you’re offering in hopes of getting them to WANT to read it.

The payoff and value has to be tipped so far in the customers favor for them to want to go out of their way and reply to your Story.

In my case, 5 Story Hacks that 5X their Views is something that 99% of my audience would want to read. I mean, who wouldn’t want more Story Views, right?
